Art in Terras da Comporta

True to its motto - Inspired by art design for living, - Vanguard Properties is committed to turning its Dunas and Torre developments, brought together under the Terras da Comporta brand, into two important cultural hubs in which contemporary art occupies a prominent place. This purpose, which follows the developer's policy of including works of art in all the public spaces of its projects, aims not only to enrich the aesthetic experience and lifestyle of its residents and visitors but also to affirm Terras da Comporta as a unique place in line with the most advanced sustainability practices.

With a view to continuity and rotation, in 2023 the first work by José Pedro Croft, designed for the 2021 edition of Frieze Sculpture, one of the most significant sculpture events in Europe, was installed at Dunas.

In 2024, João Louro commissioned the project's first site-specific work (Happiness Molecule) to be placed next to the Golf Academy at Dunas Golf Course.

In the same year, two pavilions built by Artworks, a Vanguard Signature Universe company, were installed: “Gravity in Suspension by Clanet & Brito and the Stardust Pavillion designed by Flare Studio. The former was adapted to house João Louro's striking work “Little Boy”, while inside the Stardust are three pieces from the series “Neurónios” (2017) by the artist Silvestre Pestana.
